Thanks for stopping by. Welcome to Cover to Cover. EMI recently reissued multi-disc editions of Pablo Honey, The Bends and OK Computer. I thought this would be a great time to look at a few different versions of one of my favorite Radiohead songs: Paranoid Android. Paranoid Android (named for a character from The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy) was the first single released off of 1997’s OK Computer album and the track has appeared regularly on best of lists, including Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Songs of All Time, where it is ranked #256. The new music just keeps piling up. The first half of this week’s show is more singer/ songwriter- ish. Some great new Flaming Lips, some new band like Girls and some crowd favorites like Karen O. The second half is giant pile of high energy dance jams and I won’t apologies over it . I think all the new music is flooding my brain cause I sound like a total idiot of this episode (different from every other week how? (Quiet you!))
